Himalayan Pink Salt makes an attractive alternative to familiar table salt but unlike them it is free of chemicals that are used to stop table salt from caking. Pink salt contains many minerals in trace amounts but it is potassium, magnesium and calcium that contribute to its richer flavour which means that you don't have to use much at all to season food. Although sodium from all sources should be limited to no more than 6g daily, some is lost in high temperatures and so salt helps prevent dehydration.
